The foil market is taking off 

Avel robotics, mainly known as « Avel » is a referenced hydrofoil manufacturer on the competitive sailing market.

Already seven Imocas equipped with « Avel » foils will be competing in the next Vendée Globe and the company pursues its development fast: its turnover has doubled in 2022. 

New products available

Hydrofoils, our best sellers, are not the only high-performance composites parts manufactured by Avel: we design and build in AFP (automated fiber placement) all kind of appendages exposed to great constraints. Our team has been reinforced with new talents who master the assembly of composite parts techniques.Imoca and Ultim multihulls are now sailing with daggerboards and rudders made by Avel. These racing animals will set sail in the next big ocean sailing event, the Route du Rhum, on November 6, 2022.

Avel conquers new markets

As France is engaged in a new low-carbon airplane program to be produced by 2030, an increased number of industrial actors are involved in the electrification and hybridization of aircraft. 

Avel is exploring new aerospace applications for its 4D composite, alongside renowned aviation partners.
